Uzeyir Hajibeyov (September 18, 1885–November 22, 1948), was a large Azerbaijani composer.

Natural in the village of Agjabedi near Shusha, Uzeyir was the 2nd tyke of Abdul Husein, the clerk & village writer, & his attractive married woman, Shirin Khanum.

He composed Sevener operas and 3 musical comedies. He composed his foremost good-length opera Leyli and Majnun, a tragical story by poet Fizuli in 1908. Hajibeyov was a foremost composer in the entire Soviet Union, not simply within Azerbaijan, ever awarded the title "People's Artist of the USSR". He was likewise honoured by medal of Order of Lenin.

He besides composed a todays national anthem and the state anthem of the Azerbaijan SSR.
